We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with the GDPR – even if their regulations do not actually affect us in Norway. The security of your data is our top priority.

The fjordsites.de website can be used without providing any personal data. Personal data that we receive by telephone or e-mail (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. The following explanation gives you an overview of how this protection is to be guaranteed and what type of data is collected from you and for what purpose. fjordsites.de points out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.
Without us being able to influence this, our hoster Alfahosting saves user data in so-called server log files.
He writes:
“Access log files and error log files are stored on the server. These log files contain the IP address of the visitor and thus personal data. The following data is recorded there:
Visited website
Time at the time of access
Amount of data sent in bytes
Source/reference from which you came to the page
Used browser
Used operating system
Used IP address
[...] The IP address will be anonymized after 24 hours; to do this, the last octet is zeroed. It will then be deleted after 7 days at the latest.”
The log files are available to us, but are not evaluated by us.
The website uses a cookie. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. The cookie used is technically required, inaccessible for other websites and is deleted after the website is closed. Therefore it does not affect your privacy.
This website uses the Matomo software to record page visits. With their help, we can understand the use of our website and are thus able to optimize it for our visitors. Your IP address will be anonymised. The data collected will not be passed on to third parties. No cookie is used to collect the data. If you have set in your browser that your visits to the site should not be recorded in tracking systems, your visits will of course not be recorded.
As a user, you have the right to request information about what data we have stored about you and the purpose for which it is stored. In addition, you can have inaccurate data corrected or have data deleted that is inadmissible or no longer required to be stored. You have the rights to data portability, restriction of processing and objection.
You will receive information about your data stored by us free of charge at any time and without giving reasons. You can have the data we have collected blocked, corrected or deleted at any time. You can also revoke your consent to data collection and use at any time without giving reasons.
A large part of our communication takes place via email. Please note that messages in email are not very well protected. E-mails are therefore not suitable for the transmission of secret information (e.g. access data such as passwords).
We reserve the right to change the data protection declaration in order to adapt it to changed legal situations or to changes in the service and data processing. However, this only applies with regard to declarations on data processing. If user consent is required or parts of the data protection declaration contain provisions of the contractual relationship with the user, the changes will only be made with the consent of the user.
